When Chaumet Celebrates the Passion for Flowers

In celebration of Empress Joséphine and her passion for flowers and gardens, the Hortensia finds its way once again to Chaumet’s jewelry, high jewelry and timepieces with its colors and forms. From Empress Joséphine to Empress Marie-Louise and Queen Hortense, who adorned their body with Chaumet’s creations, the house writes a new chapter in its Jardin story with the launch of Hortensia Voie Lactée collection.

The jewelry pieces take us to a clear summer night, when a soft light is reflected on a sleeping flower in the garden. The stars’ milky shade lends a cool symphony of blue to the “Hortensia” flower through a fusion of sapphires, tanzanites, diamonds and white chalcedony.

This imaginable scene morphs into a reality through a film that captures a woman in her garden boudoir, choosing a flower in full bloom with love and collecting its dew drops during the night. Using these few drops, she colors her drawing that lights up and magically gives life to the Hortensia Voie Lactée ring.
