We can’t deny the challenge that is shopping with children. No matter where we go, these cute, little creatures can turn our shopping spree into a nightmare. But now that the start of the school is getting closer and closer and you need to get them everything they need, you must find a few ways to make this trip as fun and as entertaining as it could be. So here are a few tips to help you achieve this mission successfully!

1 – Consider this shopping trip as a chance to teach your kids colors and the names of the items. Show them the difference between a blouse and a t-shirt, the different styles of shoes… You can also help them practice their reading skills with all the names of the labels spread around the place. This will keep them engaged and entertain them while you get a lot of things scratched off your list.

2 – Make them your helpers and send them on missions around the store, such as getting what you forgot and putting the things you choose in the shopping basket. And if they were a little bit older, why don’t you let them push the shopping cart for a while.

3 – Treats are always a joy for kids! Therefore, treating them with a little gift at the end of your shopping spree is a pleasure and will encourage them to behave well the next time you go to the mall.

4 – Make sure to download their favorite games so that your kid can play with your phone if the shopping trip gets crazy. Remember, this will only keep you sane!

5 – Play some games with them while waiting in line to pay for your stuff. For example, playing “anatomy” is a fun way to entertain them, and teach them something or remind them of what they learned at school last year.
