Help! Concealer/Eyeliner Won't Stay On

I have a friend who always complains that her eye makeup disappears shortly after leaving the house. My skin is on the dryer side so I honestly never had this problem. I have been using and rebuying the same concealer for a few years now.
So, in case you are new to our beauty articles, it’s the MAC Pro Longwear concealer. It comes in a pump, it dries so it doesn’t need to be set, and the shade NW25 is my BFF. The good friend that I am, I wanted to find a solution for her or any of you out there with this same struggle. First a few questions: are you wearing an eye cream? I ask this because your eyes may be begging for hydration so as soon as you put any product on it will literally eat it up, making it disappear. Next, how are you applying your concealer? Many people use their ring finger, but the way I think concealer looks the best and most blended is with a sponge. I usually use the flat side of those triangle sponges or of course you can’t go wrong with a beauty blender. Are you using primer? I usually use my concealer as primer but on some days when I don’t have time, I try to apply eyeshadow and it literally feels like it won’t even show on my eyes. Remember our eyelids are very oily no matter what your skin type. And finally, are you setting with a powder? Our holy grail loose powder, Laura Mercier is great for setting concealer but don’t forget to also set your eyeliner. Yes, I said set your eyeliner. So, after you apply your creamy liner, grab the skinniest brush you have and go over it with black powder. Yes, it might get messy but it will also look great after lots of practice. I usually put some emergency Q-tips in my evening bag.
