Breitling Launches 2 UAE Exclusives at Dubai Watch Week

For its participation in this year’s edition of Dubai Watch Week, Breitling took its novelties to a whole new level, one that places the United Arab Emirates at the heart of the launched pieces. In partnership with longstanding retail partner Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, two Special Edition Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 designed exclusively for the UAE market were presented, redefining the versatility of this iconic Breitling timepiece.

Besides being a tribute to travel thanks to its dual time zone display, its easygoing aesthetics and practical size, it now proudly showcases Indian numerals on the dial to truly become “a watch for every pursuit”.

Commenting on this launch, Managing Director of Breitling Middle East, India and Africa, Aed Adwan, said: “We chose to develop two watches from the all-purpose Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 in a special series exclusively for the dynamic and diverse UAE market. To celebrate the UAE’s world-class cities, we designed an Abu Dhabi Mean Time (ADMT) version in ice blue that pays tribute to the capital city Abu Dhabi and a Dubai Mean Time (DMT) version in bright blue that pays tribute to the city of Dubai.''

Along with their distinctive dials, both special editions feature 18-carat red gold-plated large Indian numerals and 18-carat red gold-plated hour and minute hands coated with Super-LumiNova®, while the Breitling Caliber 32 powers the GMT complication. The timepieces’ 24-hour scale allows the user to track a second time zone and their “onion” crown – which is a classic Chronomat feature named for its fluted-dome shape – allows for easy adjustments. Housed in an all-steel case, the two COSC-certified chronometers have a 200m water resistance and a power reserve of approximately 42 hours.
