Versus Versace Spring-Summer 2018

Donatella Versace emphasized fashion’s androgynous factor through plaid garments gracefully fitting both Men and Women for Spring-Summer 2018. After the rebirth of oversized plaid blazers, it seemed quite natural to take checkered garments for another spin. There were matching sets of plaid ensembles – think trousers with matching gilets and hats, fringed cowboy boots perfectly matching with shirt-dresses – and models were spotted strutting their good looks with the added bonus of a tightly tied scarf on their necks. It was all very grungy-meets-west, in the most edgy kind of ways. Tees had the logo “versus” splattered all around them and a certain upside down “V” insignia made quite the statement.

Along came the pops of colors, from pistachio greens to fiery reds – all of which melted tastefully in a sea of sumptuous plaids.

Donatella Versace gave her collection an edgy spin, one that boasts hints of cowboy patterns, a dab of popping colors and a whole lot of street-y garments.
