Travel to California with Chanel’s New Makeup Collection

For Fall/Winter 2017-2018, Chanel Global Creative Makeup and Color Designer Lucia Pica found inspiration on a road trip to California, where she got the chance to discover the outside world anew. The dawn, sunbathed coastline, city lights and the gritty noir of Downtown LA, this journey became a destination and offered her a whole lot of originality to create this astonishing makeup collection entitled Travel Diary.

”I’m so passionate about each color,” says Lucia Pica. ”I care so much and I think it’s important that vibrancy comes through.” This was obviously a good way to predict an exciting season, and this collection proves itself as an absolute must-have. For instance, Les 4 Ombres Road Movie eyeshadow palette brings the satiny green-blue of the sea together with the satiny copper, matte stone beige and dark blue-green with grey undertones to perfectly embody Lucia Pica’s destination and immerse us in her source of inspiration.

What a road trip requires is effortlessness, which is the key to this collection. Pica also found a chance to introduce a palette that gathers three key products: a creamy concealer, a highlighter and a blush that can also be used for the lips. Eyebrows get a treat too with a new Stylo Sourcils Waterproof, which offers a sophisticated way to frame the face.

This collection is about the memories and emotions that colors can create. Join us in the Photo Gallery below to learn more.
