Creative minds and inspiring talents will all be gathered this year at Design Days Dubai, the famed design fair that has reached international levels of success. Held from March 14th until March 18th in the heart of Downtown Dubai and specifically at the Venue on Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, the exhibition will comprise 40 art galleries from around the world.
Cities’ Art, Design & Lifestyle store will be holding an exhibition entitled “Orientalism Reinterpreted”, diving into the creative expression of Eastern cultures. Bringing to light the term “orientalism”, the designs reinterpret items and creations that have always been considered icons of this culture and offer a different and modernistic perspective.
Renowned lifestyle concept store, Comptoir 102, will also have its share of the fair. It will promote the highest level of design through the “Celebrating Light” exhibition. The latter will take place from March 13th until March 31st at Comptoir 102.
Beirut is flying to Dubai as well through the exceptional pieces of furniture and interior design brand Vick Vanlian. Limited edition pieces entitled “L.P.C: Love, Power, Copper” will be among the creations on display at this design fair.
The Lebanese capital will also be present in Dubai through Iwan Maktabi, the leading Lebanese gallery of design carpets. The latter will showcase the “One Carpet for Love” collection, and the pieces will be available for sale at the fair whereas all proceeds will go to different charities. Lebanese designers from the fields of jewelry, fashion and architecture have collaborated on this project to give back to society through 10 unique carpets.
