Take Care of Your Eyelashes

The eyelashes are the curtains of your eyes, and they should be treated with the utmost care and respect. So this time around, we are going beyond the enhancing effects of mascaras, and we are going to discuss their general health. So here are some tips to keep your lashes in good shape.

1 – Maintain healthy lashes by thoroughly cleaning your face including the eye area before going to bed.

2 – Gently clean your eyes with a special cleanser to remove makeup. If you run out of cleanser, baby shampoo could be a great alternative!

3 – Apply a conditioning serum for the lashes every night before going to bed, as you apply night cream or serum to your face. The latter will promote their density, length and diameter.

4 – Avoid rubbing your eyes excessively, as this leads to lash loss.

5 – Make sure not to pull on your eyelids when using a lash curler.

6 – As much as we think lash extensions are amazing, they can cause serious damage to your natural lashes when they fall out.

7 – If you’re going through a mascara-free phase, you can brush your eyelashes gently with a clean and soft bristle mascara wand in order to make them look long and naturally full.

8 – Give your eyelashes a break and some time to breathe by opting for a no-makeup look every now and then.

9 – Eat foods rich in vitamins C – to promote normal hair growth, D – to reduce hair loss and strengthen your hair follicles, E – which boosts hair growth and lastly H – to rebuild hair that is already dry and splitting. 

Always remember that if the lashes look good, you will too!
