Salvatore Ferragamo Fall/Winter 2018-2019 Ready-to-wear

Nothing like a nostalgic return to the past to constitute a brand-new collection. With that in mind, Paul Andrew and Guillaume Meilland revisited Salvatore Ferragamo’s exceptional codes to create contemporary pieces worthy of the House’s fine legacy.

And so, one would only expect intricate tailoring and well- thought out layering. Indeed, models sashayed their way on to the runway in tailored pants paired with matching shirts and coats, while others donned loose pared down coats in the House’s staple colors- think mustard yellows, reds, greens, blues and blush. There was a certain combination between sport-chic and the House’s iconic sophistication that made the collection kind of magical. Suede coats were obviously a thing, while colorful leather boots complimented the outfits fabulously. And as belts rested elegantly on loose dresses, one could only be swept away in the House’s lovely codes and values, intricately reinterpreted by the duo.
