Manish Arora Spring-Summer 2018 Collection

Indian designer Manish Arora’s eponymous label has always alluded to all-things whimsical, and it was no different this time around, as he sent out models harboring eye masks and wraps that doubled as Ready-to-Wear robes on the runway.

The collection was somewhat audacious yet very chic, as the designer broke his usual mold with jumpsuits paired with sequined jackets, patterned silk pajama ensembles and statement tunics – very Manish Arora. The pieces seemed to scream “happy” in all the right ways, as a slew of models came out wearing 50’s archetypal skirts with embellished cardigans and elegant scarves tied around their necks. Some of the tees had the slogan “Ready for Love” splattered in the middle, while the designer’s moniker love for psychedelic patterns upped the ante. Colors skewed from baby blues to orange tones and rainbow-like patterns – all of which played in favor of Arora’s knack for perkiness. One maxi dress in particular made quite the statement as it was covered in colorful sequins. The designer was clearly having fun displaying a mélange of colors and quirky fabrics and the models portrayed that vibe quite successfully.
