Did I say good? I meant gorgeous! I used to think I was photogenic until social media took over.
Not sure if I’m just aging or my photoshop skills aren’t as good as this new generation’s. Ever get your hair and makeup done for an important occasion and then get emailed back photos and hate how you look in almost all of them? Ok let’s work on that never happening again!
You have two options, you can either go in front of your mirror to figure out how you look your best, or have some fun taking selfies. We are trying to figure out your best angle. You know how they say “this is my good side”? Well let’s find out which one is yours. Look through photos whether it’s in a magazine or instagram just to get an idea of what you think looks good. I know this sounds like a lot of work but just stick with me here. Let’s talk lighting, it’s pretty much everything, make sure the lighting is ideal which can make or break your selfie. Be yourself and have your own style, I noticed I tilt my head or have my hand in my hair. Do what makes you feel cute and confident. After several attempts, find the angle and details that work for you, and make sure you repeat them when someone says “let’s take a picture you guys!”
