Elie Saab took us to the Amazon this afternoon, literally! Show guests were steeped in a camouflage light that bathed the runway and set the mood as the first looks made their exit. Think silk and python print every which way - a jungle pattern but for city living - from a snakeskin print maxi dress to a tonal fluid trouser, bodysuit and floaty long jacket all in a timeless print. This collection had a sleek sporty feel to it with a bright green tuxedo day-to-night dress and a deep red halterneck bodysuit styled with a cut-to-the-thigh skirt. For evening this was a racier Saab minus the opulent sequins and frills. Elie Saab's women have channeled the Amazonian heroine with plunging necklines and revealing slits. Perfect for summer and the younger breed of Elie Saab customers.
