Dior Fall/Winter 2018-2019 Ready-to-Wear

Maria Grazia Chiuri turned to the feminist spirit of the 60s as inspiration for her Dior Fall 2018 collection - a VERITABLE celebration of women. Held at the Musée Rodin, guests were greeted by a show façade and the entire show venue, from ceiling-to-catwalk, covered with magazine tear sheets, feminist slogans and protest posters from 1968. This was a fashion tale of two sides. On the one side, the tough edgy black leather coats and biker jackets, the hip tartan on tartan mix, a slogan knit jumper with “C’est Non, Non”, as well as Edie Campbell in a multi-colored patchwork jacket and black leather trousers. On the other, there was the boho romanticism of floaty sheer maxi dresses and skirts that Chiuri does so well – one in a bright Oscar-worthy red, another a black chiffon number with purple floral appliques. Little black suede baker boy caps replaced the berets of past seasons.
