Bottega Veneta Fall/Winter 2018-2019 Ready-to-Wear

In celebration of the city that never sleeps Tomas Maier bought the Italian house of Bottega Veneta to New York showcasing the brand’s new Madison Avenue flagship store. Held in the Stock Exchange, Maier recreated a living and dining area of a luxury penthouse complete with a working fireplace, and Gio Ponti chairs, where Gigi Hadid, Kaia Gerber and fellow models lounged about after their turn on the catwalk. We’ve come to associate Bottega with quiet understated luxury, but not so for fall 2018 where a glorious expression of retro colors and new silhouettes paid homage to the architecture of New York. A glossy yellow silk pyjama jumpsuit and sleek aubergine pyjama set opened the show, followed by the patchwork patterns of city chic day dresses and then sumptuous evening dresses in rich velvets. Check prints lined colored leather coats and chains embellished new season bags.
