I admit, I’m not a big fan of eye primers since I usually just use my concealer, but if there’s one worth using, I’m willing to switch. I actually just learned a tip that you should put on your primer and then a concealer or foundation over it, so that your face and your eyes blend, and you don’t get that weird bright circle around your eyes when you are photographed. 

When we think of face primers, Smashbox is always a great choice and this goes for their eye primer too. Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer is great for an event because your makeup will not move at all. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion is a very popular one with cool packaging. I love all things Laura Mercier and her Eye Basics Primer is just perfection because it’s literally the color of my lids, so it even looks great worn alone. Too Faced Insurance Primer basically is like buying insurance for those hot summer days, guaranteeing the safety of your eyeshadow from disappearing or smudging. Last but not least, Tarte Clean Slate 360 Creaseless 12-Hr Smoothing Eye Primer…the name says it all!
