Beauty Tip of the Week- Top Backstage Make Up Tricks

Make up Artistry is limitless, and trends are ever changing.

Have you ever wondered how these trends and techniques begin in the first place? Well, its simple. Fashion and make up go hand in hand. Fashion Week is a key player in the beauty industry and it is backstage where the magic happens and trends are born. After the mayhem and shows, make up artists come back with a hat full of tricks and here we have narrowed down some of our favorite techniques to 7, which you can actually try yourself, at home.

1 – Dab a bright metallic eye shadow in the center of your eye lid for a pop of brightness. You can also do the same by applying a white shadow on the inner corner of the eyes to brighten and open them up.

2 – Apply metallic lipstick on your cheeks. This will give a gorgeous sheen and dewy finish. It blends in super easy too!

3 – Mix a bit of oil in with your foundation. This is quick way to achieve flawless, healthy looking skin.

4 – Apply your pencil eyeliner with an angled brush. Stroke the brush on the tip of the pencil then apply directly as an eye liner. This gives a clean, soft, smoked up eye, steering away from the defined cat eye.

5 – Skip Contouring. Let’s stick to flushed and blushed up cheeks for a more youthful look. You can even use an eyeshadow instead of a blush for intense color and fun.

6 – Use your foundation as a concealer and select points of the face. It doesn't need to go everywhere.

7 – Use your fingers as a tool to apply color on the eyes, cheeks, lips, and to soften up/ even out your foundation.

And there you have it! 7 magic tricks used by makeup artists backstage, from the catwalk, straight to your home!
