Beauty Tip of the Week – Winter Makeup Tips

In general, our makeup up regimen usually follows a standard routine; however, with the cold weather upon us, there are a few important changes you might want to make which would be worth trying in order to keep your makeup on point.

Cooler weather means dryer skin, and so no matter what, makeup needs a perfectly moisturized canvas in order to be applied and set beautifully.
Use a good moisturizer for your skin type and add a few drops of face oil in the mix. Begin moisturizing a few minutes after you wash your face and with your warm finger tips massage the product in. You will notice your skin will glow more and feel soft and supple.

Next is your foundation. You will notice how it will glide on smoothly on top of your prepped skin. I tend to prefer foundations with minimal spf added inside as the more spf will eventually oxidize leaving a greyish color behind.

Be sure to moisturize and constantly prep your lips before lipstick application.

This winter all colors work for eyes. I like a dark seductive eye as much I like a fresh nude eye. Replenish your mascara and start using a new one with the start of a new season. Nothing beats a good fresh coating of mascara that won't crack or get brittle during the cold.

Cheeks are everything! Add a healthy flush of color using a rich colored blush. The product may look bright and loud, but once applied you are left with a tease of color only and this will make your skin appear healthy and very well nourished.
Try out cream and liquid formula blushes. The best for winter are liquids and they come on like a stain of color. Usually, a shade similar to that of dark red wine, sits on your skin nicely all day long and withstands even the coldest of temperatures.

Product choice is everything!
