The Right Highlighter Shade for your Skintone

We have all heard the saying “highlight on fleek”, but the wrong highlighter shade can be a big no-no. I found this out while recently shopping for my inner fleek myself. I heard about my favorite artist rave about a highlighter, but then when I tried it on, it was way too white for my skin tone. My skin isn’t too dark but it’s definitely olive and looks better with warmer tones than cool. I was offered gold shades which looked pretty, but I feel like I was already doing the bronze look, and wanted more of that pretty softer natural glow look. From light to dark here's what I recommend. The fairest skin tones look best with the original white-ish looking highlighter, my favorite of these is the Guerlain Meteorites Pearls Stardust Illuminating Powder. For a warmer skin tone like mine, try something with a peach undertone. In the summer when you have more of a tan, a hint of gold would look great as well. For a darker skin tone, try rose gold or bronze. When I think of rose gold I always think of Huda Beauty, she has the best rose gold eyeshadow. I decided to leave out the guesswork and just go for a palette. HUDA BEAUTY 3D Highlighter Palette Pink Sand Edition seems to have all these shades, so you can just experiment and see what you like best.
