Pro Tip for Instant Volume

I was recently invited to an 80’s themed party and decided to go all out with my hair and makeup. I know crimpers made a comeback, but didn’t quite make it big. I thought this would be a great opportunity to crimp my hair. In case you don’t know what crimping is, it’s basically a flat iron that’s not flat. It has curves where the hot plates are that create tiny little waves. Needless to say, my hair was huge. I couldn’t believe how much volume this added to my hair. My stylists said she crimps the underneath layers of her clients’ hair who complain that their hair is flat. You just keep the top layer straight and no one will know your crimp secret. I thought this was too good not to share. Also need to point out that once you crimp the hair, you pretty much have to wash it to get it back to its natural state. I tried straightening it the next day and it just refused to go flat. I did like how it looked in a bun or ponytail though. Maybe crimping your entire hair is not for you, but small pieces for volume is a great tip!
