Piaget Celebrates 50 Years of Brilliance with Limelight Gala

In 1969, Piaget launched the “21st Century Collection” which was both a collection and a manifesto as it crystallized an aesthetic revolution: the convergence of two types of savoir-faire, watchmaking and jewelry. Barely four years later, in 1973, the House gave shape to the collection that would later become the Limelight Gala. Today, we’re celebrating 50 years of the Limelight Gala, of brilliance.

Still offering the same charisma, powerful aesthetics, couture extravagance, and innovative refinement of its Seventies predecessors, the Limelight Gala stands out with its unique audacious look that is still a perfect example of the extravagant elegance unique to Piaget. Between the bracelet crafted from strands of gold woven into a Milanese mesh, the explosion of colors on the dial, the bezel generously wrapped in perfectly matched stones, the sparkling diamonds and gemstones – like malachite, lapis lazuli, or kaleidoscopic opal – the infinite variety of blends of materials and colors, and all the other thoroughly executed details, Piaget gives creativity a new meaning.
