How to Get Healthy Nails

I recently had a horrible nail salon experience. I always love trying new products and salons, which could sometimes turn into a bad thing. I went to a nail salon that did a horrible job of gel nails on an already sad set of broken nails. Once I finally went back to my usual place, I decided to take a break from gel and just do a regular manicure. Needless to say, the polish chipped after a couple days. I missed my gels so bad I couldn’t wait to get them back on. I wondered did this “break” really help my nails and what else can I do to keep them from breaking. Turns out avoiding the nail salon and not putting anything on your nails is the best way to go. Also, frequently washing hands and even your shampoo could be drying out your nails! If you aren’t willing to give up your weekly manicure because it simply makes us feel like our life is still in order (just me?), make sure you:

1-    Hydrate your nails with coconut oil

2-    Moisten your cuticles and push them back,

3-    Buff them instead of adding color

4-    Eat healthy

5-    Take Biotin

Also, please remember that any major nail issue could be a sign of something to do with your overall health. So watch out for the color of your nails when removing polish and really weak nails that don’t grow. It might be something else!
