How To Choose a Lipstick

From browns to almost chalky light pinks and now to nudes. Lipstick color trends are always changing season to season. More important than what’s on trend is what color suits you the most. When the season changes, it’s a good time to go through your make-up and clean out what you don’t need, and also bring out what you put away for summer. This season I’ve decided to get rid of any lip color that just doesn’t suit my skin tone and hair color. Many of these shades were a color I liked on a friend, or I read about in a magazine, but turns out they really just weren’t the right shades for me.

That said, matching a color that is almost your natural lip color is the easiest way to choose a shade. After all what you were born with looks the best on you! So, you first have to figure out if you have a warm undertone or cool. You may even be somewhere in between. Warmer skin tones look better with orange undertone nudes. Cooler skin tones look better with cool pink based shades. If you're not sure, go for a lipstick that has both warm and cool tones mixed together; so basically, a universal nude. A true red would also be the same as it practically looks good on everyone.
