Gucci Fall/Winter 2019-2020 Ready-to-Wear

After showcasing its Spring 2019 collection in Paris, the Italian House has now officially returned to its native land. Indeed, for the Fall/Winter 2019-2020 collection, Creative Director Alessandro Michele has transformed the Gucci Hub into a vastly illuminated space with LED light bulbs, a mirrored runway and movements that come and go in a fury of kaleidoscopic reflections.

The men’s and women’s runway show featured models in what could only be described as androgynous pieces, from the overwhelming coats with structured shoulders to the loose matelassé pants and the Moliere-esque blouses. Some of the models went as far as covering their faces with a mask like that of Hermaphroditus, symbolizing androgyny and a genderless vibe. There was a jacquard dress with latex sleeves and there was a houndstooth ensemble and another tartan dress – all of which were beautifully completed with statement accessories. Gold-tone earrings and necklaces were all over the place, alongside a galore of top-handle bags.
