There’s no better way to celebrate the opening of a boutique than with a special show. That said, Dolce & Gabbana reveled in the debut of its new store located at Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue Expansion with an exceptional show, featuring green, white and red-colored lights shining inside the mall, as a nod to the typical Italian city. And so, golden details reminiscent of the daytime sun beautifully blended with the blue of the furnishings representing the night atmosphere.
The collection itself was also full of contrasts, as it gathered in one melting pot the beauty of the golden nights with intricate tailoring, Sicily and of course, the designer’s Italian roots. Think long evening gowns in pink peony, orange, yellow and blue chiffon. Think unique embellishments ranging from feather details to amethysts, emeralds, aquamarines, gold and silver crystal adornments, floral embroidery, and arabesque ornamental motifs. Of course, statement headpieces made a fabulous presence through crowns and hats, transforming the Dolce & Gabbana woman into a strong and passionate queen. To top it all off, the collection also featured a series of masculine tuxedos, alongside a galore of looks evoking a sporty and contemporary attitude.
