After a successful debut in 2017, it comes as no surprise for L’Ecole Van Cleef & Arpels to return to Dubai and welcome the region’s public to its two-week program. From March 28th until April 13th, 2019, ln5 at Hai d3 in Dubai Design District will give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the art of jewelry through the experience of leading experts, regardless of your age and knowledge in this field. Let’s take a look at this much-awaited program!

During these two weeks, 4 exhibitions will take place: “Hidden Treasures: Jewelry from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” to shed light on the myriad influences that inspire design across the Arabian Peninsula, “Pearl Merchants: A rediscovered Saga between the Gulf and France at the dawn of the 20th Century” to take you on a journey to the world of pearl merchants while focusing on the development of pearl commerce, “Precious Art Deco Objects” presenting a spectacular array of precious boxes from the remarkable collection amassed by the Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan for his wife, the Princess Catherine Aleya Aga Khan and finally, “The Fabulous Destiny of Tavernier’s Diamonds” that counts the story of the mesmerizing diamonds acquired by Louis XIV from the travelling merchant Jean-Baptiste Tavernier in 1668.

As for the courses, you can make your choice among 14 dedicated to adults and organized around three main themes – “Art History of Jewelry”, “The Universe of Gemstones” and “Savoir-Faire”. Make sure to book your place, as the enrollment starts in February 2019.

And if you think that’s all, you’re absolutely wrong. In partnership with UAE-based institutions from a cultural, creative and educational background, L’Ecole will also organize workshops, evening conversations and movie nights to make the event even more exciting.
