CHANEL Revolutionizes the Mascara Concept

Once again, CHANEL pushes the limits of cosmetics research and innovation to launch the first 3D-printed mascara brush. And after its partnership with various innovative companies, CHANEL Parfums Beauté tapped 3D-printing specialist ERPRO 3D FACTORY.

This journey started in 2001 and in 2007, it registered the first patent for the manufacturing of cosmetic product applicators and notably a 3D-printed mascara brush. “Together, we overcame numerous technological obstacles in order to push back the limits of 3D printing and create a revolutionary product,” points out Pascale Marciniak-Davoult, Packaging Innovation Manager for CHANEL Parfums Beauté.

The first product using this innovation is Le Volume Revolution de CHANEL mascara brush – which was reworked over 100 times until it reached perfection. What makes it so different? Well, the surface of the brush has a granular texture that optimizes lash adherence and product deposit, the brush’s micro-cavities allow it to absorb the mascara formula in order to deliver the right dose with each stroke, and last but not least, the millimeter-scale arrangement of the bristles and the conical tip offer an immediate, extreme volume result on the lashes.

Now are you wondering when this novelty will be available? Wait until June 2018, when CHANEL will be taking over the beauty world with this exceptional product.
