There’s a new classic in town, and it’s Celine’s “16” bag, designed by Hedi Slimane on the very first day of his arrival at the Maison.

The bag’s name comes from the Maison de Couture’s Paris address, the Hôtel Colbert, at 16, rue Vivienne in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris. Based on the Parisian way of wearing a bag, the “16” features the codes of the Maison Celine’s historic bags, putting into sight specific 60s details such as the cropped flap and rounded and belted effects. 

And so, this new classic holds the finest skins and the most beautiful exotic leathers, keeping in line with the Maison’s knack for class.

So ladies, brace yourselves because come November, the “16” will be available in not one, but three sizes and a variety of luscious colors.
