Right at the heart of Bloomingdales in Dubai Mall, you can hear the luxurious sound of Gucci’s new store coming to life. This is to be the first store in the Middle East that showcases a much more invigorated vision of the brand. The new concept was initially redesigned in Milano on Via Montenapoleone in September, shedding the light on the brand’s new retail environment, featuring a wide array of women’s accessories, from handbags to shoes, jewelry and silks.

A store overflowing with your favorite relaxing features invites you into its own comfort. A contrast of ever so soft velvet armchairs and stiffer concrete rivets make way to a surreal contemporary space. It all rhymes with Gucci’s new collection and Alessandro Michele’ Cruise 2016 collection, highlighting the perfect mix of traditional and modern, industrial and romantic. And much to our pleasure, the Cruise collection will be one of the first available in the new store.

Travel being the central theme of the store’s design, one cannot but gasp in awe in front of the contrasting design codes. Customers are invited to explore the remarkable history of this fashion house and the aesthetic codes of luggage, especially the trunk.

Once invitees set foot in this world of travel and wonder, they plunge into a dramatic combination of three-dimensional marble polychrome inlays and soft rich fabrics such as pale pink carpets. This perfect blend sets an eclectic tone featuring round tables to complement the rectangular ones and a polished iron wall to contrast the dark grey matelassé. It all ends with lavish chairs in cherry red fabric, pale pinks and light grey velvets to cater to your comfort.

Gucci has once again translated its abstract elegance into a concrete space.
