Aimée Sayah Expresses Her Finesse with Piaget Possession

Without further ado, accompany this Lebanese beauty from behind the scenes to the photo shoot, and don’t forget to discover more about her by reading the interview!

Tell us about yourself. How did your acting career kick off?

I am an actress and a TV host. Since I was a child, I loved the camera. Thankfully, my parents appreciated the value of pictures at a time when photos and videos were not so common. My dad realized that I love this field more than any of my siblings, so he used to film “my episodes”, which I presented, as well as my programs, for which I used to design the setting. When I graduated from school and one month before I was set to start my path to a medical degree, I switched and went to the faculty of Communication Arts. My major was journalism and I learned theater as a minor.  After I graduated, I decided to do my masters as I couldn’t find a job. Then one day, my professor advised me about earning some experience and told me about a job at MTV Lebanon. After sending my CV and going through several casting sessions, I started presenting @MTV, a program for young people and teenagers. Then I started presenting the weather and with time, I started presenting events. Five years later, I got the opportunity to play the leading role in a Lebanese series entitled "وأشرقت الشّمس". At the end of February 2014, I joined MBC and started hosting The Voice and later on, The Voice Kids.

After acting, you showed us your talents as a presenter. Which side of the entertainment world would you say suits you best?

I love both, as when I am shooting a series, I miss hosting programs and when I host programs, I miss acting. That said, I feel that live shows have a special place in my heart.

How were you approached to be the presenter of MBC’s “The Voice Kids”?

Two weeks after I resigned from my position at MTV, I got a call to present The Voice; so I started to co-host the second season, then I became the only host in the third season, and now I also present The Voice Kids all by myself.  For the meantime, we are preparing for new seasons of both.

Could you describe your experience as a show presenter with The Voice Kids?

The kids in The Voice Kids push you to get involved with them emotionally. Competition is something really interesting, but children should be taught to have sportsmanship. I love the children who participated with us; I love them because they are spontaneous.

What was your toughest challenge?

Acting was challenging because it was new for me. It’s something that I had never considered. I loved acting and watching movies but I had never imagined myself playing a role. I am very shy in nature and I learned theater during my years at university to solve this problem. Now I love it and I consider it a constant challenge and an opportunity to keep proving myself.

You’ve also had your share of fashion praise. What’s it like being a style icon?

I usually like feeling comfortable. Of course, I care about fashion but I always try to opt for a look that resembles me in my everyday life. My style is very natural and very simple not because I am not audacious enough, but because I like to be true to myself. Even when it comes to beauty, I don’t like to cut my hair and I like to stay in my comfort zone.

What’s your favorite jewelry style?

Just like my fashion style, I like to opt for simple jewelry pieces and this is the characteristic that drew me to the Piaget Possession collection. It attracted me with its soft colors and I loved its name, as I am a very possessive person in nature when it comes to love. It really resembles me.

Any tips for those who would like to make it in the entertainment world?

If you are not passionate, patient, ready to sacrifice and do not have enough support around you, don’t do it. It is very easy to break down and give up. You have to love this field, live it and be passionate about it. Most importantly, you have to be emotionally supported by your parents, siblings and partner because it’s very tough to be alone in this. You also have to know how to work on yourself and what to learn from this domain.

What’s the only thing that you never leave home without?

The answer would definitely be my cellphone. It accompanies me in every step I take, even if I am at home. If I don’t have my tablet or my laptop on me, I read my scripts on the phone. I try to control this addiction when it becomes too excessive, like when I am at a lunch, in a meeting or with my husband.

What’s next for Aimée Sayah? Any future plans?

I play the role of an Armenian girl who lives in Bourj Hammoud. This Lebanese-Armenian movie is entitled Zafafian and it was a challenge for me because I had to learn some Armenian in order to play the role. For Ramadan, I filmed a Syrian drama series called "أركيديا" in Romania and Tunisia in which I play the role of a princess. In addition, I am also filming a Lebanese series entitled "ثورة الفلّاحين".
