Victoria Beckham Fall/Winter 2019-2020 Ready-to-Wear

“Clothes that are wearable but still have the ability to let us dream”. That’s the message Victoria Beckham’s Fall/Winter 2019-2020 ready-to-wear collection was sending out to the world on this beautiful Sunday, at the heart of the Piccadilly Lights in London.

Indeed, with London Fashion Week in full swing, the British designer was lighting up London with her retro-esque collection. For someone who knows exactly what women want, Beckham did just that, sending out models in her brand’s signature silhouettes, including fitted shapes that only meant one thing and one thing only: modern femininity. The retro collection seemed to be drawing inspiration from the seventies, featuring plaid trousers paired with chunky knits and fabrics that seemed to blend all-too perfectly, from tweeds to wools and silks. The mélange was unique and the result even more so. There was one particular vintage chain pattern that appeared on one too many dresses and skirts, creating an exceptional lingo for the collection. Bold and bright colors were melting in a sea of camel-toned and beige pieces, while peep-toe boots were obviously a thing.

What women want, women shall have – that’s what the designer seemed to be saying.
