Tory Burch Spring-Summer 2018 Collection

It’s only the second day of New York Fashion Week and the series of runway shows have already made a grand impression on the fashion scene. Granted, the month of September was slowlyunveiling a cooler breeze, but today, Tory Burch’s show conveyed a total springy attitude.

The garden-themed show featured models sashaying down the grassy runway, holding on to their beach towels as they paraded in breezy white tunics and loose trousers. The collection was so fresh one would think it was coming out of a weekend in the Hamptons. Loose slip dresses featuring fresh lemony colors were cinched at the waist with delicate leather belts while other tunics were finished off with white tassels. Lightweight maxi jackets were paired with clashing mini dresses and pared-down blouses were beautifully paired with midi skirts. Along came a one-shouldered green dress, reminiscent of a tea-party attire. There were multi-colored stripes, geometrical designs and the “T” insignia splattered all around dresses, but there were also loose off-the-shoulder tops and maxi striped dresses.

Tory Burch’s show offered an appealing collection to the designer’s devoted fans, as she delivered on the feminine/chic front ever-so accurately. If one should imagine summer bliss, this collection would be exactly it.
