If blood scares you, this is as scary as it sounds. This hot Hollywood trend made famous from Instagram posts by celebs like the Kardashians is a great way to give your skin a pick me up. Basically, blood is drawn from you and put into a machine and then put into your face. Well it’s not that simple. Usually this process is done with Micro Needling. After spreading the processed blood on your face, tiny little needles go all over your face to help penetrate the good stuff. If the blood part grosses you out, serums can also be used. Think about it though, what better treatment than your own blood. You might get a little red but it is bound to go away in a few days. Your skin might also flake, so make sure you are using SPF during this time. If you are doing this before a special event I would recommend doing it a few weeks before to give it time to fully heal. The entire appointment will be less than an hour, but will get rid of acne scars, make it plumper and firm. The more treatments you get the better the results. My first question was does it hurt? Apparently, it doesn’t at all. If the thought of getting your blood drawn sounds a little extreme perhaps start with just dermarolling at home. Even if you don’t see results it just feels nice!
