The Mediterranean Sea Inspires Giampiero Bodino’s High Jewelry

For its latest high jewelry collection “Mediterranea”, Maison Giampiero Bodino finds inspiration in the scents and colors of the Mediterranean Sea. Reinterpreting signature Bodino motifs, the 19 one-of-a-kind pieces are set with stones that come together to form unexpected yet swooning color combinations.

Just like a painting of a Mediterranean scene, the collection’s color palette features hues of blue, green, bright orange and purple. This is in fact what makes Mediterranea an exquisite collection of breathtaking high jewelry pieces bursting with energy. It highlights the jeweler’s unconditional love for the sea, where he grew up and started to dream about jewelry.

This collection features 6 lines, which are Barocco, Mosaico, Primavera, Corona, Passamaneria and Tesori Del Mare. While the extravagance of the Barocco set constitutes an ode to decoration and femininity and stays true to the spirit of the “Barocco Leccese” artistic style. The Mosaico creations are more contemporary in terms of design and feature delicately feminine hues. The Primavera set finds inspiration in nature and its rebirth in Spring, while the scents and colors that fill the places of Southern Italy are depicted in the Corona set. In the Passamaneria set, the lightness and grace of silk is reflected through the necklace and bracelet that feature Florentine fleurs-de-lys in white diamonds for an added touch of aristocratic sophistication. The creatures of the sea also get their share with the Tesori Del Mare line, requiring a high level of mastery to make them look alive.
