The Cool Switch

From tank tops to sweaters, after a hot summer, it’s nice to change up your breezy wardrobe to a cozier one. That said, your beauty routine needs to change along with your wardrobe.

Starting with your skincare routine, switch your facewash to a creamy version. Winter skin is dull and dry, so you need all the hydration you can get especially if you like to crank up the heater like I do. Lancôme GALATÉE CONFORT Comforting Milky Creme Cleanser is one of my mom’s favorites and she has me hooked as well.

I know I always talk about the importance of exfoliating but go easy on your skin in the cooler months. Instead use a moisturizer that will really lock in the moisture. I love the Chanel HYDRA BEAUTY CRÈME RICHE, you can get away with thicker creams now, especially if you are on the dry side.

Moisture begins in the shower so make sure you switch to a hydrating shower gel. Applying moisturizer in the summer is easy to remember, especially when you are showing off your tan, but don’t forget to moisturize when the heat subsides and the weather becomes crisp!

What’s the driest thing you can think of in the winter? Lips! Besides drinking plenty of water or tea make sure you are keeping those lips moist. The best thing to do is moisturize before bed. I have a Chanel HYDRA BEAUTY NOURISHING LIP CARE in my purse and one next to my bed.
