The Contour Guide: Which face shape are you?

Contouring is a magical way to accentuate your beauty. The easiest way to understand contour is by "bringing out" (highlighting) or "brining in" (contouring). For example I have deep circles under my eyes that go in but I want to plump them up so I add a concealer to highlight and bring them out. If I want to make my nose look slimmer I contour the sides and highlight the middle so that the contour makes my nose look thinner. In case you are wondering, it does work for the body too!

Let's start off by figuring out your face shape. Take a look at each face type photos and compare a close up picture of yourself to see which shape best identifies with yours.

Using the Smashbox Step by Step Contour Stick Trio is probably the easiest way to try this if you are a beginner. It comes with a highlighter, contour stick and bronzer but we will set aside the bronzer for now. I also like to use a Beauty Blender to do what it does best, blend! If your learn anything from this article at all it's that blending is the most important step. The last thing you want is visible lines all over your face. Ok, so lets get started.
