2019 is still in its second month and we can already tell that the watchmaking industry is treating us to some real masterpieces so far! Who can actually stop themselves from thinking about the novelties that the world has witnessed at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, knowing that nothing can make this year less exciting than its predecessors?

To create a timepiece with an artistic dial, the watchmaking house finds inspiration in so many natural objects – proving that nature is as generous as one could ever imagine. For Cartier, the iconic panther makes an artistic appearance that stays true to the house’s values. In fact, the tiger was the hero of many of this year’s offerings, as it gloriously takes over watches by Vacheron Constantin, Hermes and Bovet.

On another note, the mighty tiger was not the only creature to be captured in a timepiece. Bovet for instance dived deep into the sea to create a masterpiece entitled “Amadeo Fleurier Carp”, while Vacheron Constantin captured a panda in its “Les Cabinotiers Wild Panda” timepiece and Hermes adorned the dial of its “Arceau Awooooo” watch with a wolf. As for Richard Mille, the time-tellers it introduced this year took a fun turn like no other with fruits and sweets adorning its RM 07-03 dials.

We all know that a picture is worth a thousand words, so join us and take a look at these 9 masterpieces.
