Roksanda Spring-Summer 2018 Collection

In a notably avant-gardist designer’s dictionary, such as Roksanda Ilincic’s, the power of pared-down elegance is very striking. For Spring-Summer 2018, the Serbian-born designer accentuated her comfortable designs with fluid movements and her moniker color-blocking touch. Indeed, white overflowing maxi dresses were rendered edgier with dark stripes and red motifs and beige tunics were infused with camel tinsels. Ilincic offered oversized pantsuits cinched at the waist with colorful ropes that doubled as belts and we noticed the return of extra-long sleeves and satin tunics. The silk pieces came in dreamy colors, from red hues to yellowish and pink tones, instilling the soothing collection with a tad of glamor. Almost everything came with a certain leafy motif, reminding us of the joyful summery feel.

For eveningwear, Ilincic went as far as adding 3D flowers to color-popping gowns as a nod to the power-comfort dressing we all love and respect.
