Roberto Cavalli Fall/Winter 2018-2019 Ready-to-Wear

The big cats came out to play on the Roberto Cavalli catwalk yesterday in Milan. Although the house may be in the hands of new creative director Paul Surridge whose second season it is, and as such heading in a new direction, the glamorous bold Cavalli animal print is very much here to stay. Prowling proudly down the catwalk on a gathered front silk print mini dress and boxy cut biker jacket and a cut-away detail floor sweeping gown, animal print was making a statement.  Taking inspiration from Sharon Stone’s Basic Instinct character, Surridge’s collection was a celebration of the idea of a powerful seductress. Power dressing came in the form of an opulent red python leather statement coat worn by Bella Hadid, styled with knee high leather boots, and a red-carpet worthy asymmetric bright purple evening gown with jeweled detail.
