Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini Spring-Summer 2018 Collection

He’s an Italian designer and a creator of great combinations. For Spring-Summer 2018, he sought to capture the greatness of the eighties, and more specifically the elegance of the great Tina Chow and her knack for androgynous styling. The designer’s pieces were mostly Japanese-inspired and unveiled a vintage spirit extracted from the eighties, such as padded shoulders and paper-bag waists. His last collection might have been a herd for glamorous dresses, but this time around, Serafini took a different route, going for rompers and salopettes instead – think tomboy attire in the most elegant kind of ways. There were military jackets, blousons and nautical hints. Along came a series of floral dresses cinched at the waist with obi belts as a nod to the Japanese culture. With a “throwback” collection like this, the designer’s pieces are bound to be featured everywhere, from influencers’ closets to the streets.
