No Heat Waves

It seems these days washing and blow drying your hair needs to be penciled in. To be honest once I am done, the last thing I feel like doing is grabbing my curling iron. But what if I told you, after washing your hair, you can go from wet to waves and just go to sleep. This sounds too good to be true but it’s not! All you need to do is channel your youthful braiding skills. The key here is to start at the top of your hair, otherwise the top will be straight and the bottom curly. The correct term for this is Dutch Braid. First off wait until your hair is slightly dry, otherwise when you take out the braids, your hair will still be wet. Brush out your hair and part it down the middle. Now is a great time to use a leave in conditioner. My favorite is “Perfect 10” because one of its key ingredients is Keratin. You can also use your favorite oil, but just make sure to focus more on the ends.

Starting on one side at the top of the hairline grab three pieces to start braiding. Next, add on another piece nearby and work it into the next weave. Keep repeating this all the way down to the end and secure with an elastic. Once you finish the other side, you can either rock this look all day or sleep on it. The following day undo the braids, and you are left with beautiful waves and you haven’t even damaged your hair!
