Nina Ricci Fall/Winter 2018-2019 Ready-to-Wear

It’s at the heart of Hotel Potocki that Guillaume Henry presented Nina Ricci’s Fall/Winter 2018-2019 collection. The House, which is widely acknowledged for its typical romantic designs, had been on a serious successful roll. So much so that Henry was delivering unique shows, worthy of Nina Ricci’s fine legacy.

This time around, the designer sent out models walking amidst a beautifully decorated gold setting, making for an eye-grabbing contrast with the collection.

Henry, who had previously delivered a military-inspired collection, preserved the theme in a more innovative way – in other words, he revamped a woman’s androgynous wardrobe and instilled it with refinement, elegance and a whole lot of red. And so, the models paraded down the runway in a galore of red wide-legged trousers, red military coats, black fur capes and blue matelassé coats. There was a sort of laid-back sophistication that saw the light within a slew of accessories, from the hats, to the knee-high boots. Along came leather slip dresses upholstered with lace inserts, A-line leather skirts with big belts, an orange shiny shirt that turned into a cape and the silk crop bodices that were paired with midi skirts.

Polished looks and unmatched flair? We think so.
