My Dreamy Winter Wedding – The Do’s and Don’ts

If you’ve landed on this article, it probably means that a) you love the colder season or b) you just couldn’t find the right spot to tie the knot during summertime. Either way, you’re here. And we’re here to tell you that you can always make the best out of a sticky situation – and organizing a winter wedding is actually far from being a “sticky situation”. Winter is no longer an off-season for nuptials. On the contrary, some couples go as far as waiting for the chilly weather to seal the deal. And frankly, is there anything more enchanting than having to walk down a snowy aisle? We think not.

But before you even consider going all Snow White on your fiancé, consider these little guidelines.

Do choose a destination that speaks to you. It’s already going to be very cold as it is, so you might as well choose a country that is more or less a favorite of yours – oh and your fiancé’s of course.

After picking the destination, don’t forget to make sure the dress fits the intensity of the weather. We get that you surely want to look your best on your wedding day, but we also don’t want you to wake up with a flu. The trick here is to find the perfect gown that brings together elegance and warmth all in one beautiful style.

Do accessorize accordingly. For instance, pick a lovely stole to compliment your sumptuous gown and make sure your shoes are fit for the occasion. Because yes, those gorgeous stilettos are just to-die-for, but will they protect you from frostbite?

Do make sure your bridesmaids are also well covered. Pick dresses that are equally warm and chic to match the venue and of course, you!

Don’t underestimate the comfort of your guests. If they’re freezing, how do you expect them to enjoy your big day?

Do take advantage of the occasion to experiment with colors. Let the venue scream “Wedding haven” with pops of colors!

But most importantly, even though it will be quite cold, don’t get cold feet!
