Mademoiselle Privé takes Shanghai

We hope you’re ready to discover Shanghai’s most hidden gems, because CHANEL’s “Mademoiselle Privé” exhibition is taking over the Chinese city from April 20th until June 2nd, 2019, the in the West Bund Art Center.

Indeed, after making fabulous stops in London in 2015, Seoul in 2017 and Hong Kong in 2018, the exhibition is presenting a revised concept, inviting people to discover the three main creative worlds of CHANEL, from Gabrielle Chanel to Karl Lagerfeld: Haute Couture reinvented by Karl Lagerfeld, CHANEL N°5 created in 1921, and the High Jewellery with the re-edition of “Bijoux de Diamants”, the unique collection designed by Gabrielle Chanel in 1932.

So get this, the exhibition revolves around three emblematic addresses, translated into “three houses”, immersing visitors into the House’s creative process, from 31 rue Cambon which houses Karl Lagerfeld’s Creation Studio and the Haute Couture ateliers, to 18 Place Vendôme dedicated to the High Jewellery, and finally Grasse, where the perfumer Ernest Beaux and Gabrielle Chanel together created CHANEL N°5 in 1921.

The “Mademoiselle Privé” exhibition is hence a platform to showcase CHANEL’s most extraordinary creations, starting from the unique creative process to the exceptional savoir-faire of its creations and the visionary changes along the way.
