A timepiece becomes an icon when it embraces the wrist as a jewel that tells time. This is the case with Chanel’s latest watch, Code Coco. As if the Chanel woman needs an additional excuse to stand out and show off her elegant audacity, the French house has unveiled this unconventional watch in a signature style that has always been and will apparently be forever cherished.

While the Chanel 2.55 handbag gave its clasp to the bracelet, the Code Coco also pays tribute to other signatures of the house, such as the quilted motif.  With the latter being a Chanel emblem since 1955, it also takes over the timepiece’s bracelet and proves its power in all the fields that the house excels at – from fashion to accessories, jewelry and watches.

There is yet another way for this watch to pay tribute to the house’s founder, Gabrielle Chanel. Of all gemstones, diamonds were her favorites. In fact, she once said: “If I have chosen the diamond, it is because it represents, in its density, the greatest value in the smallest volume.” Therefore, it comes as no surprise for a small diamond stone to take over the whole upper half of the dial, leaving the lower half for a tiny dial that, despite its small size, tells the time audaciously and elegantly.

Whether you like to take things to the next level or tend to keep them casual, both options are possible. You can either go for the diamond-set steel version or the steel one, but in both cases you will soon realize that this watch is your newest best companion.
