How to Dress your Kids Fashionably

Looking stylish and fashionable is not necessarily high on top of your kids’ list. While you want them to reflect on your up-to-date trendsetter choices, all they want to do is eat, sleep, play and make sure they make it through the day without getting hurt.

We all want to look our best on a daily basis, but dressing up our kids can be a wee bit more stressful. First, you want to get them aboard the whole idea of wearing something that stresses on style more than on comfort. And then you have to go through the effort of making sure they don’t ruin the all-too consuming outfit. The goal here is to find the right balance between the comfort of your children and the trendiness they exude. But we’ve compiled of you cardinal rules for you to follow in order to dress your kids ultra-fashionably. Who knows, they might be the new little fashionistas!

1 – Accentuate their outfits. Just like adults, kids need a little something to look stylish. Think pompom shoes, cute headpieces or even tiny handbags.

2 – Find what works for your children. If your girls are not comfortable wearing skirts and they want to play around, then by all means, let them wear pants.

3 – Layering is key for adults; the same goes for kids. Pair tartan shirts to white tees, cardigans to shirts and tunics to trousers. The more layers, the better!

4 – Mix and match styles. Don’t just stick to one look; pair booties with skirts for an edgy look, ballerinas with jeans and so on...

5 – Let them take fashion risks and most importantly, allow them to dress themselves every now and then. It’s really important for your kids to express themselves. Their own fashion risks might be next season’s biggest trend!
