How to Achieve Emanuel Ungaro’s Spring 2016 Freckled Runway Look

Modern florals, futuristic mod, there are so many ways to describe Emanuel Ungaro’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection. As far as make up goes, there almost wasn't any. Using MAC Cosmetics, artist Lucia Pieroni created a fresh, freckled, youthful glow. I've always been obsessed with freckles, so I wondered if all these models were blessed with this adorable sun kissed look. To my surprise, eyebrow pencils and eyeliners were used backstage to create this carefree look. I love this look for the day, at first glance it seems like there’s not much going on but let’s see what we can do to make you look presentable yet really natural at the same time.

Using M·A·C Face & Body Foundation in C3 apply one layer wherever you feel like you need coverage. The key with a more natural look is never overdoing it. If you only have redness in the middle of your face, you don't have to cover your entire face with foundation. I love the light texture of this and the fact that it's buildable. If you feel like you need more, just add more. This product is also great for a décolletage, if you are wearing a strapless dress and need some coverage.

After applying concealer if you need it, dab the inner corner of your eye using your ring finger and a bit underneath the lash line with M·A·C  Cream Color Base in Pearl . You can also put whatever remains on your finger on the bridge of your nose and a little on the forehead for that dewy finish.

Using M·A·C Brow Set, apply this clear gel on your brows, brushing upwards.

Curling your lashes is an important step in a barely there makeup look. The models looked like they were wearing brown mascara but I prefer a classic black. Whichever color you choose, I am obsessed with the M·A·C Haute & Naughty Lash Mascara. First off the packaging is so cute, especially if you are a fan of pink and purple. It's really like having two mascaras in one. It's all about the wand when it comes to the perfect mascara and you get two wands in one package!

For lips M·A·C Mineralize Rich Lipstick is great since it's creamy and soft. Pure Pout is a nice pink tone with this look.

Last but not least, the freckles! I literally tried on all my M·A·C eyebrow pencils on my face to see what matches my beauty mark. They all looked a bit ashy so I just went for a brown eye liner instead. Using M·A·C Technakohl Liner in Photogravure, place random freckles on your nose and cheeks. Blur the edges by patting over each freckle so they don't look perfectly round. This is an exaggerated runway look, so if you don't feel comfortable with these fake freckles skip this step entirely. The best part of makeup is if you make a mistake, you can just wash it off!
