Hermès at SIHH 2019

It’s during the last day of the Salon de la Haute HorlogerieInternationale that Hermèsunveiled its latest novelties to the precious world of watchmaking connoisseurs and fair-goers. Indeed, Geneva was chockfull of watch-lovers – all of whom attended the Swiss Salon from the January 14 to January 17.

The Maison presented 5 new watches, from the ArceauL’heure de la Lune to ArceauAwooooo, Slim d’Hermès Carre de Reve, Arceau Baobab Cat and ArceauOursin.

But one of the novelties unveiled at the Salon was also the new Cape Cod, a timepiece revealing a daring style and taking femininity to a whole new level. Originally designed as a “square in a rectangle”, this year, the Cape Cod is reinterpreting the anchor-chain link against a black or white lacquered background and with a double tour alligator strap.

Another creation featured during the fair was the Arceaul’Heure de la Lune, a cosmic and dreamlike creation offering a unique vision of Earth’s satellite with the simultaneous display of moon phases in both northern and southern hemispheres. And so, the watch is considered as yet another interpretation of the Maison’s watchmaking expertise.
