Happy Feet, Happy You

Whether you’re at the mall or at the office, walking is something you cannot avoid – which makes foot care mandatory in your life. So, never overlook problems you might experience with your feet because they might reveal hidden health issues. For instance, chipped or cracked nails might indicate signs of vitamin or mineral deficiency, the bumps on your toes could be connected to rheumatoid arthritis, and so on.

With this in mind, practicing good foot care is definitely a step in the right direction. In fact, they deserve to be pampered as they carry you around all the time, so here are some tips to make your feet happy, healthy and strong.

1 – As soon as you get home after an exhausting day, sit with your feet elevated to improve blood circulation.

2 – Keep your feet dry, especially the area between your toes.

3 – Massage your feet every night with a moisturizer to improve blood circulation.

4 – When wearing closed shoes, dust your feet with powder, which will help absorb excess sweat and keep the bacteria at bay.

5 – Wear light cotton socks before you go to bed to keep your feet soft and well moisturized.

6 – Make sure your shoes fit well and are comfortable enough to carry you around for long periods of time.

7 – Treat yourself to a pedicure every once in a while and make sure the beautician is using medical products.

8 – When at the beach, walk barefoot on the sand. This is the most natural massage they can ever get!

Finally, we know that high heels are an essential part of every woman’s life, but we should all avoid wearing very high ones for long periods of time as this could cause a lot of foot problems. Think of it this way: flats and kitten heels are a huge trend right now, so why not make good use of them? Believe us, your feet will thank you in the long run!
