Giorgio Armani Fall/Winter 2018-2019 Ready-to-wear

Looks to bedazzle. Literally. For Fall/Winter 2018-2019, Giorgio Amani channeled his love for elegant outerwear unto velvet pieces and shiny looks. For a designer who has long been acknowledged for a clean and tailored line, his present collection defied the norms, as it brought forth a slew of minimalist looks- think tailored pants with matching knits in grey-ish and pastel colors, velvet dresses upholstered with preppy bows and encrusted suits, and dresses that shined oh-so bright. Along came the lavish pink numbers that added a bit of zest to the collection and reminded us of the designer’s exceptional ability to make pink and black a good combination again. Models sported thigh-high leather boots which put into sight the designer’s exploration of edginess and elegance in one simple look.

For evening-wear, Armani presented his core values in a series of I-want-it now intricately beaded pieces, from maxi dresses, to suits, tunics and jackets. The designer always leaves the best for last, and this year was no different, as all show-goers were left with the same lasting impression: next winter, shine bright like a diamond.
