Face Steam Recipe

Don’t worry I’m not going to make you cook something! If you can make some tea, then you can easily do this DYI at home steam. All you need is a big pot of boiling water and some herbs or oils of choice. Don’t have any of those at home? Not a problem! Just cut open your tea bags! After turning it off and letting it slightly cool down, put a towel over your head and inhale and exhale slowly.

I call this “chicken soup” for the face. We all wash our face daily but wouldn’t it be great to give it a relaxing deep clean detox once a week? Here’s a list of suggested items to use. If your skin is oily, lemon and rosemary are both great.

I’m always buying green tea, but honestly, I’m not crazy about the taste, but it just so happens to be great for detoxing your skin. Sidenote: this is a great way to clean out those teas you just don’t use.

I like to use scents that I enjoy like lavender or calming chamomile. How about some rosewater or even fresh rose petals?

Some not so pleasant scented options are parsley, or a couple drops of tea tree oil which are great for cleaning impurities.
I think you get the idea! Make your own recipe and make sure to clean your skin with a toner after, as this will help get rid of blackheads and whiteheads. It will also increase circulation and it just simply feels relaxing and who doesn’t love that?
